Kincardine Offshore Windfarm Limited

Kincardine Offshore Windfarm Limited (KOWL) ELECTRICITY ACT 1989 (AS AMENDED) MARINE (SCOTLAND) ACT 2010 MARINE AND COASTAL ACCESS ACT 2009 THE ELECTRICITY WORKS (ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT) (SCOTLAND) REGULATIONS 2000 (AS AMENDED)

Further to the notice that Kincardine Offshore Windfarm Limited (KOWL), registered under company registration SC475345 at Saltire Court, 20 Castle Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2EN, has applied to the Scottish Ministers for:
-  consent under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989;

-  declaration under section 36A of the Electricity Act 1989; and

-  a marine licence under section 20 of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010 and section 65 of the Marine Coastal Access Act 2009

to construct and operate an offshore generating station at a site 15 km offshore from the Kincardineshire coast, south-east of Aberdeen, with a total area of 110 km2, the Kincardine Offshore Windfarm (central latitude and longitude co-ordinates: 57° 00.000'N, 01° 50.000'W (WGS84). The installed capacity of the proposed generating station would be up to 50 MW comprising of 6 to 8 turbines with a maximum height of 176 metres above Lowest Astronomical Tide. Notice is hereby given that further information in the form of an 'Environmental Statement Additional Information Addendum' has been received by the Scottish Ministers. Copies of this information have been forwarded to Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Council to be made available for public inspection on the planning register. Fair Processing Notice The Scottish Government's Marine Scotland Licensing Operations Team processes applications under the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010, the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 and The Electricity Act 1989. During the consultation process written representations can be sent to the Scottish Ministers.
