TRUSTEES EX OFFICIIS OF THE EGLINTON FELLOWSHIP TRUST and THE COURT OF THE UNIVERSITY OF GLASGOW
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 13 June 2016 a Petition was presented to the Court of Session in Scotland (the “Court”) by John Lawrence Duncan, Professor Vito Antonio Muscatelli, Archibald George Montgomerie the whole Trustees ex officiis for the time being of the Eglinton Fellowship Trust and The Court of the University of Glasgow, University Avenue, Glasgow, G12 8QQ (the “Petitioners”) seeking orders of the Court for, inter alia, approval of a scheme for the future administration Cy Pres of the funds of the Eglinton Fellowship Trust (the “Trust”) evidenced by the Trust Deed made by the Marquess of Ailsa and ors. dated 21 October 1865 and subsequent dates and registered for preservation in the Sheriff Court Books of the Sheriffdom of Ayr, 8 November 1865 and for the reorganisation of the Trust purposes in terms of the scheme appended to the Petition with such deletions, alterations or additions, if any as the Court shall allow.

On 15 June 2016 the Court ordered inter alia that (i) the Petition be served upon the Lord Advocate as representing the public interest and upon the Office of the Scottish Charities Regulator (ii) that the Petition be advertised once in each of The Herald and the Glasgow Evening Times newspapers, and (iii) that any person claiming an interest is to lodge Answers to the Petition, if so advised, at the offices of the Court, 2 Parliament Square, Edinburgh EH1 1RQ within 21 days after such intimation and service.
