DANIEL STURRIDGE, the Liverpool striker, has not made the Champions League trip to Basle after failing to recover from a thigh strain in time.
The England internationalist has missed five matches with the problem and while he is edging closer to a return he will not be risked for the Group B match and he was not on the team flight which left Liverpool at lunchtime.
Mamadou Sakho has also not travelled to Switzerland, after storming out of Anfield on Saturday after not being selected for the match-day squad to face Everton at Anfield in the Merseyside derby.
