FORMER Partick Thistle forward Kallum Higginbotham has clinched a two-year deal with Kilmarnock.

The 26-year-old racked up 35 appearances for the Jags last season, chipping in with two goals in the process.

Higginbotham said of his move to Rugby Park: "I am really happy to have signed for Killie today.

"Gary [Locke, Kilmarnock manager] has been relentless in his efforts to sign me and I have taken this as a huge compliment.

"I am now keen to work hard and re-pay his faith by doing well for the club."

Locke added: "I am over the moon to have secured Kallum, he was one of my main targets and we have chased him all summer."
