Auchinleck Talbot win Dyslexia Scotland Junior Cup for 11th time
Auchinleck Talbot won the Dyslexia Scotland Junior Cup for a record-breaking 11th time with a 2-1 victory over Musselburgh Athletic at Rugby Park today.
Gordon Pope was the match winner for Tommy Sloan's side with a 59th-minute strike from the penalty spot after David Gormley was brought down.
Dwayne Hislop had given the West Region Super Premier champions the lead with a 25-yard screamer on the half hour mark but Jordyn Sheerin levelled eight minutes later with a superb strike.
Talbot could have increased their lead in the closing stages but could not find a way past Alasdair Adams in the Musselburgh goal.
