Neil Lennon will today attend a special training session put on just for him by officials of Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad before deciding whether to agree to accept a tax-free £30,000-a-week job as manager.
The former Celtic manager has flown to the Middle East - alongside his former first-team coach in Glasgow, Garry Parker - and has discovered that the Jeddah club are pulling out all the stops for Lennon in a bid to persuade him to sign up.
"We sent delegates to Scotland to speak with Mr Lennon and he is here now to look at the club," said Ibrahem Al-Balawi, the Al-Ittihad president. "I hope he will be impressed with our set-up. We want the best coach possible and negotiations will continue with him."
The Saudi Arabian league is currently on a break, but will resume a week today. Lennon could be appointed at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium for their next match against Al Khaleej.
