Leon Balogun is determined to maintain the momentum as Rangers target domestic and European success before the international break.

Michael Beale’s side kicked off a hugely significant run of fixtures with a 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.

A tricky trip to face Ross County is next on the agenda this afternoon before Rangers head to Holland for the second leg of their play-off round clash.

A potentially defining week then ends with the first Old Firm showdown of the season as Beale’s side look to lay down a marker of their Premiership title intentions.

And defender Balogun is well aware of the opportunity that lies ahead for Rangers during a momentous few days at home and abroad.

Balogun said: “It’s one game at a time. Every game is massive at this club regardless.

“It’s about making the new players understand as quickly as possible. And getting the performance out of them together with the team.

“We have enough in the squad to switch [between European and domestic fixtures]. Even the boys who are not used to that. We will take them on board and make sure they understand the message.

“The manager never falls short in making it clear. The next game is Ross County and all that matters is we win.

“It would be massive to go into the international break with huge success. That’s the aim.

“We all know we want to go into the Champions League and play in the group stage then be as successful as possible.

“Then there’s the big game next week - we all know what’s at stake there.

“In order to make a good start to that week we have to win against Ross County.

“We definitely have the squad to cope with the big games coming.

“Look at the positions, we’ve got good quality pretty much everywhere. If I hadn’t been asked that question I would never have thought about it because I feel very, very confident in our squad.”
