I HAVE a Bank of Scotland current account in my sole name.

With failing eyesight I wanted to put this account into joint names with my husband, so phoned for the appropriate form (having just recently done so with another bank).

Bank of Scotland informed me that it did not supply such a form and that I would require to make this change by attending in person at "my local branch". When I told her that mine had been closed down, there was a long pause after which the phone went dead.

I have now written to the heid bummer at the bank's head office on The Mound in Edinburgh and will let you know if I receive a reply.
