MICHELIN award-winning chef Tom Kitchin and other guests are to create their own beer at a festival of food and drink in Edinburgh.
The cook will be joined by cheesemaker Iain Mellis, Patrick Harvie MSP and others at craft brewer Stewart Brewing's Summer Beer and Food Fest in Edinburgh this August.
The event is one of hundreds taking place across Scotland under the umbrella of the Year of Food and Drink, and will bring together artisan food specialists from across the capital.
Mr Kitchen, chef patron of The Kitchin and Scran and Scallie in the capital, and other local producers including S.Lucas Ice Cream, Black Metal Brewery, and Top Out Brewery will all take part in the celebration of good food and drink, alongside industry experts.
Emily Gray, Marketing & Communications at Stewart Brewing said: "The day will champion all of the incredible, local and high quality produce that is available in Edinburgh and further afield.
"It is certainly the biggest scale event that our team have tackled and I imagine the largest food and drink festival to set foot on Midlothian sois".
The Brewery will also produce batches of cider for the occasion and also trial its own lemonade and cola recipes.
Mr Kitchin said: "Many local producers, like Stewart Brewing, are genuinely passionate and incredibly innovative.
"It's great to see Stewart's bringing all these wonderful local food and drink producers together. I hope the festival encourages more people to seek out local suppliers, and try some new and wonderful food and drink combinations."
The Year of Food and Drink, backed by VisitScotland, is encouraging small batch producers to host events and celebrate their own distinctive produce.
James Withers, VisitScotland's Chief Executive of the Year of Food and Drink, said: "Stewart Brewing's Festival this Summer is an excellent showcase of local suppliers which demonstrate Scotland's outstanding provenance credentials and the quality of our fantastic larder.
"The event will be a great opportunity to enjoy our Land of Food and Drink whatever the weather."
Tickets for the event - held on August 1 - are currently on sale, with children under 16 going free.
