FIRSTGROUP has appointed Intertek chief executive Wolfhart Hauser as its new chairman.
The German executive will replace John McFarlane, who is joining Barclays, after the transport company's annual general meeting in July.
FirstGroup shares were up 1.7 per cent in morning trading.
