- What is your Fringe show about?
It’s a comic storytelling show about a couple in their early 30s who met doing ‘The 36 Questions’, a psychological experiment designed to make strangers become intimate. It’s about what happens four years after that first date. It’s also slightly interactive as the audience can choose which way the narrative goes at certain points, including the ending.
- How many times/many years have you appeared at the Fringe?
Nine times. I will now list those Fringes in order of how much fun they’ve been:

- What’s the worst thing about the Fringe?
The landlords.
- If you were not a performer what would you be doing?
I’d probably be a doctor, working on medical cures and things like that. But I asked my parents and we weighed it up and decided that my Fringe show is more important. There’s plenty of doctors. But how many white male comedians are there?
- Favourite thing about being in Edinburgh?
There are so many things. I love the views, the people, and the history. I still have lots to explore obviously and I can’t wait; finding normal parts of Edinburgh life that aren’t to do with the Fringe is one of my favourite things to do during my down time.
- What's your most memorable Fringe moment?
My flatmate and I locked the keys in the flat in 2014 and managed to break back in by shimmying the door open with a debit card. Just like in the movies. I've seen hundreds of incredible Fringe shows but nothing beats that.
- How do you prepare for a performance?
I stretch my legs and say the tongue twister "He stood up on the balcony inexplicably mimicking him hiccuping and amicably welcoming him in". I didn't even need to go to drama school to learn such sophisticated warm-ups.
- What’s the most Scottish thing you’ve ever done?
Led the Scots to victory in the Battle of Stirling Bridge, 1297.
- Favourite Scottish food/drink?
The Lidl version of Irn Bru, which is spelled “Iron Brew”.
