Anna Morris speaks to HeraldScotland about never trying Haggis, getting heckled by her own Dad and Putin.
Tell us about your Fringe show
It's a spoof Woman of the Year Awards in which I play the host and all 4 contestants. The audience become the judges and must vote for the winner at the end, which in turn gives them a choice of 4 completely different and dramatic endings!
Best thing about the Fringe?
Lovely audiences, being in a brilliant city and seeing so many other great shows.
Worst thing about the Fringe?
The weather, hangovers, only having one day off!
How many years have you been coming to the Fringe?
This is my 6th ever show (2nd solo show)!
Favourite Fringe venue?
Underbelly of course!
Best Fringe memory?
The other day when I did Voices in Your Head with Marcus Brigstocke, Chris McHugh and Chris Martin (narrated by Deborah Frances White). My first improv show ever and I loved it! It was terrifying though!
Best heckle?
'Get off!" by my DAD (I had asked for a heckle to get it out the way and my Dad panicked so shouted that out to his own daughter)
Craziest on stage experience?
Doing a tap dance in a hazard suit and gas mask while singing Get Happy.
What's on your rider?
Vocal Zones, manuka honey and a lucky sixpence my sister gave me and had engraved with 'don't give up'!
How do you wind down after a show?
I either have a drink with a fellow performer who has finished at same time, or walk through the meadows and listen to music.
What do you love about Scotland?
The people - so friendly, so funny and welcoming.
What do you like about Edinburgh?
The buildings - they are incredible.
What's the most Scottish thing you've done?
I don't think I have one yet - oh maybe I should try haggis? I am not too sure that would agree with me though!
What kind of jokes do a Scottish crowd seem to respond to?
Audience interaction - my show over ran by 10 mins by accident the other day as I kept chatting to the scottish people in the front row!
Favourite joke?
It's a joke in my show that not eveyone gets which is why I like it. About 3 people a day get it! 'I met Putin at a karaoke party once. I wanted to sing him something topical so I sang Cry-Me-A-River....

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
